At the turn of last millennium, a group of Jain families made Sweden their new home. These small group of individuals used to gather for monthly Navkar Mantra Jaap and various religious activities on regular basis. This is where the idea of Jain Society Sweden was born.
Founded on 1st January 2022, Jain Society Sweden is close-knit community comprising of Jain families and individuals practicing Jainism across different parts of Sweden.
Jain Society Sweden is a non-profit organization formed by and for Jains living in Sweden.
JSS aims to preserve the Jain cultural.
JSS conveys the jain teachings of a life of doing no harm to anyone.
JSS focus is to integrated the ancient beliefs of jainism with modern scientific thinking into the daily lives of all its followers.
Started in 14th Sep 2014 with intention to connect Jains in Sweden and organize monthly Navkar Mantra Jaap.
Today we are 161 members connected and still many more to be connected.
Our ambition is to create a structure that can scale this group and its activities to include many more Jain families and be recognized as religious organization in Sweden.
To achieve this ambition in a timely fashion, it will require us to formulate the processes and support structure in a formal way through non-profit religious organization.
